Perfect Gel Manicure Step-by-Step – Instructions for a Professional Result

A perfect gel manicure begins with the right preparation. Ensure your workspace is clean, disinfected, and well-lit. All tools such as electric nail files, regular files, brushes, and cuticle pushers should be sterilized and ready for use. 1. Preparing the Workspace

Afterward, mattify the nail plate with a 180/240-grit file or a buffer to remove its natural shine. This improves gel adhesion. Remove any dust with a brush and apply Nail Prep to clean and degrease the nail plate. Do not touch the nails after this step to avoid contamination.

3. Applying the Gel Polish
First, apply an Acid Primer, No Acid Primer, or Ultra Bond Extra Strong to improve adhesion. After about 15 seconds of drying time, apply an even layer of Smart Base Crystal Clear, which you will cure in a UV lamp for 2 minutes or an LED lamp for 30 seconds. Next comes the color gel polish: apply a thin layer, cure, and repeat with a second layer if necessary to achieve full coverage. Finally, seal your manicure with a Top Coat and cure again. If you use a top coat with an inhibition layer, remove it after curing with a lint-free pad and cleaner to achieve a perfect high-gloss finish.

4. Finishing Touches – Aftercare
After curing, nourish the cuticles with a high-quality cuticle oil or a nourishing mask. This provides moisture and care around the nail. For an extra shiny finish, gently wipe the nails with a pad to enhance the final result.

5. Removing the Gel Polish
When you want to remove your gel manicure, use a special electric nail file attachment for gel removal. Work carefully over the nail surface until the material is completely removed. Afterward, you can use a 180/240-grit file to remove any residue and prepare the nails for a new application.
