Applying UV Polish – Step-by-Step Guide for Perfect Nails

How to properly apply UV nail polish – achieve a long-lasting and glossy UV manicure. With this detailed guide, we show you how to professionally apply UV polish in just a few steps. Follow these tips for a flawless result.

1. Nail Preparation

Shape nails: File your nails into the desired shape with a 100/180 grit file.

Remove cuticles: Gently push back the cuticles with an orange stick to create a clean base for the polish.

2. Prepare the Nail Surface

Mattify nails: Use a polishing file or a buffer to lightly mattify the nail surface.

Remove nail dust: Clean the nails with a cellulose pad soaked in cleaner to remove any residue.

Use primer (optional): If needed, apply a thin layer of primer to degrease the nails and increase the durability of the polish.

3. Apply Base Coat

Apply base: Apply a thin layer of base coat.

Cure: Cure the layer for at least 30 seconds under a UV/LED lamp.

Note: After curing, do not wipe the base coat.

4. Apply Color

First color coat: Apply a thin layer of UV nail polish in your desired color.

Cure: Cure the color coat for at least 30 seconds under the UV/LED lamp.

Second color coat: Repeat the process with another thin layer and cure it for at least 30 seconds as well.

Note: Do not wipe the nail in this step either.

5. Sealing

Apply top coat: Apply a thin layer of top coat to seal the UV manicure.

Cure: Cure the top coat for at least 30 seconds under the UV/LED lamp.

Remove inhibition layer: After curing, wait about 30 seconds and remove the inhibition layer with a cellulose pad soaked in cleaner.

6. Care for Perfect Nails

Use nail oil: For additional care and shine, apply a high-quality nail oil daily. It keeps your nails healthy and supple.
