Applying UV Polish – Step-by-Step Guide for Perfect Nails

How to apply UV nail polish correctly – Achieve a long-lasting and shiny UV manicure. With this detailed guide, we will show you how to professionally apply UV polish in just a few steps. Follow these tips for a flawless result.

1. Nail Preparation

• Shape Nails: File your nails into the desired shape using a 100/180 grit file.
• Remove Cuticles: Gently push back the cuticles with a rosewood stick to create a clean base for the polish.

2. Prepare the Nail Surface

• Buff Nails: Use a polishing file or buffer to gently mattify the nail surface.
• Remove Nail Dust: Clean the nails with a lint-free wipe soaked in cleaner to remove residues.
• Use Primer (optional): If necessary, apply a thin layer of primer to degrease the nails and increase the durability of the polish.

3. Apply Base Coat

• Apply Base: Apply a thin layer of base coat.
• Cure: Cure the layer for at least 30 seconds under a UV/LED lamp.
• Note: After curing, do not cleanse the base.

4. Apply Color

• First Color Layer: Apply a thin layer of UV nail polish in your desired color.
• Cure: Cure the color layer for at least 30 seconds under the UV/LED lamp.
• Second Color Layer: Repeat the process with another thin layer and cure it for at least 30 seconds as well.
• Note: The nail is also not cleansed at this step.

5. Sealing

• Apply Top Coat: Apply a thin layer of top coat to seal the UV manicure.
• Cure: Cure the top coat for at least 30 seconds under the UV/LED lamp.
• Remove Inhibition Layer: After curing, wait approximately 30 seconds and remove the inhibition layer with a lint-free wipe soaked in cleaner.

6. Nail Care for Perfect Nails

• Use Nail Oil: For extra care and shine, apply a high-quality nail oil daily. It keeps your nails healthy and supple.
