SHIELD BioBased Base is a flexible, multifunctional base with a bio-based carbon content of 50%. It offers the same long-lasting durability as a conventional Rubber Base, but provides a more sustainable, bio-based alternative for professional applications.

The medium-viscosity consistency allows for both thin and building applications and is ideal for all nail types, pedicures, and as a base under gels. The rubber-like texture ensures a natural feel, especially in the cuticle area.

The HEMA-free formula reduces the risk of skin reactions such as itching, redness, or peeling.

APPLICATION

For thin application (or under gel):

  1. Prepare the nail. Use dehydrator and bonder.

  2. Apply a thin layer of SHIELD BioBased Base.

  3. Cure for 30 seconds in a UV/LED lamp.

  4. Proceed with color and top coat from the SHIELD range.

For building application:

  1. Prepare the nail. Use dehydrator and bonder.

  2. Apply a thin layer of SHIELD BioBased Base.

  3. Without curing, apply a second, building layer to sculpt the apex.

  4. Cure for 30 seconds in a UV/LED lamp.

  5. Proceed with color and top coat from the SHIELD range.

REMOVAL

Filing: Completely remove the product with a 120/180 grit file or a nail drill.
Soaking: File off the top layer, then soak in acetone remover until the product is completely removed.
