How to apply UV gel polish correctly – Step-by-step guide

For a perfect UV manicure and maximum durability, correct preparation and application are crucial:

1. Prepare natural nails

Shape nails with a file (100/180 grit).
Gently push back and remove cuticles.

2. Mattify and clean the nail surface

Gently mattify the nail plate.
Thoroughly remove any dust with a cleaner.
Optionally, a primer can be applied for better adhesion.

3. Apply Base Coat

Apply a thin layer of Base Coat and cure under a UV/LED lamp.
Do not remove the dispersion layer.

4. Apply color

Apply a thin layer of UV gel polish and cure.
For full coverage, apply a second layer and cure again.
Do not remove the dispersion layer here either.

5. Seal with Top Coat

Apply Top Coat and cure completely.
Then remove the dispersion layer with a cleaner.

6. Care

Use nail oil daily for healthy and well-groomed nails.

Removing UV gel polish – gentle and professional

Method 1: Soak-Off (recommended)

Gently roughen the surface of the UV gel polish with a buffer file (100/180 grit) so that the remover can work more effectively.
Soak the nail polish with remover or acetone for about 10 minutes (e.g., with remover pads or soak-off wraps).

Then apply new UV gel polish or smooth, buff the natural nail, and care with nail oil.

Method 2: Removal with an electric file (E-File)

Carefully remove the UV gel polish with an electric file.
Work with even, controlled movements to avoid damaging the natural nail.
Gently smooth any residues with a buffer file.
Then apply new UV gel polish or buff the natural nail and care with nail oil.
