Instructions 

Step 1 The nail is prepared for the UV manicure, buffed (with a buffer) and cleansed. If necessary, apply primer.

Step 2 Apply UV Base and cure under the lamp (UV - 2 minutes or LED - 30 to 60 seconds)

Step 3 Apply the first coat of UV/LED gel polish, cure under the lamp (UV - 2 minutes or in the LED lamp - 30 to 60 seconds).

Step 4 For better coverage and colour depth, apply a second coat of colour, cure under the lamp (UV - 2 minutes or in the LED lamp - 30 to 60 seconds).

Step 5 Apply the Top Coat and cure under the lamp (UV - 2 minutes or in the LED lamp - 30 to 60 seconds).

Step 6 If necessary, remove the sticky layer with cleaner and apply cuticle oil to the cuticles and massage in.

Perfect gel manicure step by step – instructions for a professional result

A perfect gel manicure starts with proper preparation. Make sure your workspace is clean, disinfected and well lit. All tools such as drills, files, brushes and cuticle pushers should be sterilised and ready for use. Wear protective gloves to ensure hygiene and safety during work – this is the basis for a professional result.

1. Preparing the workspace
For the perfect manicure, cleanliness is paramount. Disinfect the work surface, prepare your drills, files, brushes and cuticle pushers and ensure good lighting. This will allow you to work precisely and safely.

2. Preparing the nails
Gently remove the cuticles. If you use a drill, choose the appropriate bit to gently loosen the skin. Alternatively, you can push it back with a pusher. Then mattify the nail plate with a 180/240-grit file or a buffer to remove the natural shine. This improves the adhesion of the gel. Remove dust with a brush and apply Nail Prep to clean and degrease the nail plate. Do not touch the nails after this step to avoid contamination.

3. Applying the Gel Polish
First, apply an Acid Primer, No Acid Primer or Ultra Bond Extra Strong to improve adhesion. After about 15 seconds of drying time, a thin, even layer of Smart Base Crystal Clear is applied and cured in a UV lamp for 2 minutes or in an LED lamp for 30 seconds. Then comes the colour gel polish: apply a thin layer, cure and, if necessary, repeat with a second layer to achieve full coverage. Finally, seal your manicure with a Top Coat and cure again. If you use a Top Coat with a sticky layer, remove it after curing with a lint-free pad and cleaner to achieve a perfect high gloss.

4. Finishing Touches – aftercare
After curing, care for the cuticles with a high-quality cuticle oil or a nourishing mask. This provides moisture and care around the nail. For an extra glossy finish, you can gently wipe the nails with a pad to accentuate the final result.

5. Removing the Gel Polish
If you want to remove your gel manicure, use a special drill bit for gel removal. Work gently over the nail surface until the material is completely removed. Then you can remove any residue with a 180/240-grit file and prepare the nails for a new application.

6. Important steps for a long-lasting manicure
The most important points for a perfect gel manicure are: a clean workspace, thorough nail preparation, careful application of base coat, gel polish and top coat with appropriate curing time, intensive cuticle care and gentle removal of the products.
