How to Apply UV Polish – Step-by-Step Guide for Perfect Nails

How to apply UV nail polish correctly – Achieve a long-lasting and shiny UV manicure. With this detailed guide, we will show you how to professionally apply UV polish in just a few steps. Follow these tips for a flawless result.

1. Nail Preparation

• Shape the nails: File your nails into the desired shape using a 100/180 grit file.
• Remove cuticles: Gently push back the cuticles with a rosewood stick to create a clean base for the polish.

2. Prepare the Nail Surface

• Matte the nail: Use a polishing file or buffer to lightly mattify the nail surface.
• Remove nail dust: Clean the nails with a lint-free wipe soaked in cleaner to remove any residue.
• Use primer (optional): If necessary, apply a thin layer of primer to degrease the nails and increase the durability of the polish.

3. Apply Base Coat

• Apply base coat: Apply a thin layer of base coat.
• Cure: Cure the layer for at least 30 seconds under a UV/LED lamp.
• Note: Do not wipe the base coat after curing.

4. Color Application

• First color coat: Apply a thin layer of UV nail polish in your desired color.
• Cure: Cure the color coat for at least 30 seconds under the UV/LED lamp.
• Second color coat: Repeat the process with another thin layer and cure it for at least 30 seconds as well.
• Note: Do not wipe the nail in this step either.

5. Sealing

• Apply Top Coat: Apply a thin layer of top coat to seal the UV manicure.
• Cure: Cure the top coat for at least 30 seconds under the UV/LED lamp.
• Remove inhibition layer: After curing, wait about 30 seconds and remove the inhibition layer with a lint-free wipe soaked in cleaner.

6. Care for Perfect Nails

• Use nail oil: For extra care and shine, apply a high-quality nail oil daily. It keeps your nails healthy and supple.

Application:

 1.⁠ ⁠Prepare the natural nail accordingly. Mattify, clean, and degrease it.

 2.⁠ ⁠Apply a non-acid or acid primer.

 3.⁠ ⁠Apply the base and cure it in the LED/UV lamp.

 4.⁠ ⁠Cut the form and adjust it to the free edge of the nail.

 5.⁠ ⁠Apply a thin layer of gel, create a skeleton, and cure it for 15-30 seconds.

 6.⁠ ⁠Apply a thicker layer of gel and shape the nail accordingly. Apex, C-curve.

 7.⁠ ⁠Clean with cleaner and correct the shape with a file. Finish the planned styling.
