Perfect Gel Manicure Step-by-Step – Instructions for Professional Results

A perfect gel manicure begins with proper preparation. Ensure your workspace is clean, disinfected, and well-lit. Remove dust with a brush and apply Nail Prep to clean and degrease the nail plate. Do not touch the nails after this step to avoid contamination.

3. Gel Polish Application
First, apply an Acid Primer, No Acid Primer, or Ultra Bond Extra Strong to improve adhesion. After about 15 seconds of drying time, apply an even layer of Smart Base Crystal Clear, which you cure in a UV lamp for 2 minutes or in an LED lamp for 30 seconds. Next comes the color gel polish: apply a thin layer, cure, and repeat with a second layer if necessary to achieve full coverage. Finally, seal your manicure with a Top Coat and cure again. If you use a top coat with a tacky layer, remove it after curing with a lint-free pad and cleaner to achieve a perfect high-gloss finish.

4. Finishing Touches – Aftercare
After curing, nourish the cuticles with a high-quality cuticle oil or a nourishing mask. This provides moisture and care around the nail. For an extra shiny finish, you can gently wipe the nails with a pad to emphasize the final result.

5. Removing Gel Polish
If you want to remove your gel manicure, use a special e-file bit for gel removal. Work carefully over the nail surface until the material is completely removed. Afterwards, you can use a 180/240-grit file to remove any residue and prepare the nails for a new application.
